Our Story

Every act of compassion creates a ripple of hope and this is how the mission of Concordia Children’s Services began.

Rooted in Christian faith, CCS provides both residential and community-based care for abandoned, surrendered, orphaned, and underprivileged children. We strive to create a nurturing home where every child is loved, valued, and given the opportunity to grow through education, spiritual guidance, and holistic support.
Through God’s grace and the generosity of our partners, we continue to embrace children with love, nurture their potential, and empower them to fulfill their God-given dreams.

Our Journey of Growth

Founded in 1983 in partnership with another child-caring organization for abandoned, neglected, and orphaned children, CCS began with a vision to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. As the organization grew, we were officially incorporated.

In 1988, we adopted the name Concordia to reflect our Lutheran heritage. In 1989, we expanded our services to reach street and urban poor children in Pasig City. Our commitment to serving marginalized children continued, and by 1996, we further expanded our reach to the Santa Mesa area in the heart of Manila.

In 2013, we enhanced our services by renovating our Santa Mesa facility to accommodate more children, including infants and street children, while increasing resources and staff, including social workers. This expansion allowed us to provide a more comprehensive range of services for children in need.

In 2015, CCS received the prestigious Third Level Accreditation from the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), recognizing the quality care we provide and the strong systems of accountability we have in place. That same year, we were also accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) for upholding standards in good governance, financial management, and accountability.

Today, CCS continues to serve 135 children in our care, providing them with the support they need to thrive. We are proud to have been recognized as the Best NGO for two consecutive years (2018-2019), a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering quality programs and services.

At Concordia Children’s Services, we uphold the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and stewardship in all that we do. As a Christian nonprofit organization, we are committed to managing every gift and resource entrusted to us with honesty and care ensuring that they directly support the children, families, and communities we serve.
We believe that accountability is an expression of our faith and responsibility to God, our partners, and our beneficiaries. We regularly undergo external audits, comply with government and accreditation requirements, and share program and financial reports to demonstrate the impact of every contribution.
